Thomas Slemen is well known in Paranormal circles, his books “Haunted Liverpool” are popular books which is why I was surprised to see this offering in a bargain bin!! “The Giant Book of Mysterious and Bizarre People” was picked up for next to nothing, and I was surprised to see the listing “Jack the Ripper” but then again other chapters included “The Alencon Spaceman” and the “Xinjang Mummies” The Ripper section includes the usual trawl through suspects, and a look at our very own psychic Lee’s before coming to the conclusion that the case is unsolved. Initially published in 1998, most of it is an easy going fun read, but forget sources and facts!! |
