The Carnegie Free Library at the gates of Hull’s West Park was one of 660 libraries in Britain and Ireland built with funds supplied by the Scottish industrialist and philanthropist Andrew Carnegie. The library is now a fantastic Heritage Centre and hosts family history days, open access days and has a massive itinery of events. In the next few months, I will be using the library to see what information they have that might help my research.

Please introduce yourself when you come in to Carnegie Heritage Centre as I have seen your name around but don’t think I know you.
