I finally receieved the full files for the company known as Pompadour Cosmetiques. The basic facts are, The company started on 16th Oct 1891 by H. Y. Dickinson, of Grays (Something) Road. It moved only once during it’s trading to 94 Regent Street W It was always owned by Dickinson, although he did have shareholders. The shareholders are all listed. There is no mention of Cremers, Collins or Stephenson among the list! |

Interesting and informative. But will you write about this one more?

I just found this site. I am an amateur Ripperologist. The list you listed with the odd name Cremers piqued my interest as I have heard rumors of a woman named Vittoria Cremers who has been linked with Dr Donstan. Donstan was a Ripper suspect and Cremers was thought to have killed him by magic.

Nothing more than Rumours I am afraid. Stephenson aka Donstn, was an old man when he died of Carcinoma of Oesophagus in 1916. Cremers gave her recollections on the case to Bernard O’Donnell in the 1930’s, 40 years after she liased with Stephenson when she was in her 70’s. Very few people believe her, although books and theories are still rife about her unfounded allegations.
