Theories Versus The Facts Add comments

In the future, this section of the blog will discuss the seminal arguments that Stephenson was Jack The Ripper by those who promoted him…and the facts at hand which clearly demonstrate his candidacy to be Jack The Ripper null and void.

What ever happened to the Jacobite theory proposed on the Casebook 4 years ago–Roslyn was a Jacobite and had a vendetta against Warren because the Commissioner was involved with the Hanovers, supporters of the Stuarts, in raiding Templar treasure? Jack the Jacobite?
I sometimes wonder though if Jack could not be better construed as a Hanoverian himself.
The line of the Jacobites on the other hand now rests with the Duke of Bavaria so I’m also interested in Roslyn’s association with Richard Sickert.

    Dear Ms.Lincoln:

If you could contact DAVID KNOTT,a member of Casebook.org, he may be able to help you with this question. Mr. Knott brought up the subject of a Jacobite element in the Whitechapel Murders some time back on both Casebook and JTRForums.com

    I hope this helps.

    How & “LBL”,
I rather hoped this had been quietly forgotten about!
Basically, a few years back, as part of my research into D’Onston (amongst others) I came to the conclusion that the reason for his adoption of the name Roslyn was a neo-Jacobite allegiance (as with Mathers and Crowley).
At the time, I knew a lot about the Whitechapel Murders, but not much about Jacobitism. Unfortunately, the books I picked up to find out more were of the sensational variety, and hence a lot of what I wrote at the time was probably rubbish.
However, it’s fair to say that the neo-Jacobites were very active around 1888, so I guess the theory isn’t completely dead in the water. There certainly seem to be a lot of little coincidences that accumulate to make an interesting theory!
    All the best
    David

    David,
Your interesting theory died a quiet death, maybe too quiet but, at least, I can therefore claim to have come up with the same or similar theory independently this year drawing on my research into the truth behind the Davinci Code. What you characterized as Jacobite versus the Throne, I characterized the Hanoverians against the more Scottish-rite Masonic houses.
I theorized that all unsolved mysteries in the class of Jack the Ripper are perpetuated to cover-up this conflict and present a united front to the world.
It sounded good but doesn’t stand up to scrutiny. Representatives of both Houses are indistinguishable. You think someone must be Hanoverian and he turns out to be Stuart.
An alternative avenue I’m considering is to look at the servants of the various Houses and their descendents, I myself being descended from Royal servants so don’t underestimate them. At least two doctors definitely in service to the Crown are Ripper suspects. Donston could be included because of his association with the wife of an Continental Baron.
Thanks for the reply. Your humble servant, LBL. No Ha ha.
